Microsoft released new OS Windows 7
The free evaluation version is available for download here Windows 7 Enterprise. Or just google with Windows 7 free download.
I decided to try it my on my HP Pavilion dv5000 laptop (Intel Centrino Duo, x86, nVIDIA, 1 GB RAM, Windows XP).
I downloaded the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor.
And fun began!
I ran the upgrade advisor and even though I had the internet connected I got consistently an error message telling there is no internet connection.
Old habits die hard!
I dared to fresh install the Windows 7 instead of upgrade.
Voila, after few hiccups I could install the OS!
I fall in love at the first sight because of her impressive looks and friendliness!
Problem began when i received various prompts for incompatible drivers like for Kaspersky Security, HP Update etc. I approached to the vendor's site as suggested while troubleshooting but not of much use. Either they are not ready for W7 or the patch is not working.
Funniest of the problem is while typing the cursor jumps here and there unexpectedly and I am having hard time while typing.
Computer becomes less responsive if it is idle for some time or many windows are open.
I may breakup well before the 90 days trial period and move to my eternal love XP!
