This is photography cheet sheet I created from my experience in past three years with Cannon EOS 550D.
You can start with this guideline. This may not work exact sometimes. As the photo is darker/brighter, accordingly try increasing/decreasing Shutter (Tv), Aperture (Av) values till you get the sweet spot.
