India Income Tax Return Online Filing with Form 16

Dear friends,

In case you have not submitted your ITR and you have your FORM 16 from a single company then you can easily do it online following the below steps:

1. you can download the ITR from excel utility
https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/portal/individual_huf.do



Select assessment year 2012-2013 (Funny, you got salary in 2011-2012 but you need to file for for 2012-2013) :D

If you have no loss/income from properties to file then use ITR1.
If you have loss/income from properties for example home loan then use ITR2.

2. Then fill below sheets (Red is mandatory, if default value is there for red items then that should work for you)

2.1.Sheet: PART A - GENERAL

2.6. Click button Calculate Tax followed by button Generate. An XML file will be generated in the folder where EXCEL file exists.



3. Login at the site https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/portal/individual_huf.do
(Register using your PAN, if not done at https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/portal/register.do?screen=registerPage1)

Then select as shown below.



4. Upload the xml file generated in 2.6

5. Download the acknowledgement zip/pdf from the given link for sure. As I did not get it in my inbox immediately :D. It came after days.

6. To open the pdf use password pan in lower case followed by ddmmyyy. Take a print, sign it and send it to by post to address given in the pdf at bottom.

7. In few weeks you will get email about the successful return with attachement. Take print of the pdf and put in your financial folder.

Fuel priced hiked again!

In my post on June 5th, 2011 titled "Are we bringing up chicken?" I expressed my frustration against the price hike.

Price of petrol in Delhi on May 2011 = Rs 63.37
Price of petrol in Delhi on May 2012 = Rs 73.14

In one year the petrol price increased by Rs 10.

In 1989 the price of petrol was Rs 8 per litre.
Rs 8 to Rs 73 in less than 25 years.

UPA brings more disappointments. Will NDA do any different?

During NDA regime in 19-03-98 to 22-05-04, LPG price increased from Rs 140 to 280 approx as displayed below.

Complain against errant auto drivers in Bangalore

Are you fed of errant auto drivers in Bangalore?

Do you know that as per the permit contract, auto drivers cannont refuse to go to any place and also cannot ask for extra money?

सफल राजनीतिज्ञ मडोना कुमार

भारत की पावन धरा पर अनगिनत अनोखे राजनीतिज्ञ हुए हैं| ये कहानी है एक सफल राजनीतिज्ञ की|

जब वो छोटा सा था बहुत जिद्दी था| हमेशा जिद करता| माँ ये दो न, माँ वो दो न| माँ दोना, माँ दोना| तो बापू ने उसका नाम मडोना कुमार रख दिया|

कहानियों का उसपे जबर्दश्त प्रभाव होता| श्रवण कुमार की कहानी सुनी मन में गहरा प्रभाव पड़ा| हमेशा सोचता उस बर्तन के बारे में जिसमें एक तरफ खीर बनती तो दूसरी तरफ खिचड़ी और किसी को शक न हो| और वो हमेशा रिवर्स थिओरी अपनाता|

बहुत सफल रहा अपने विद्यार्थी जीवन में| बड़ा हुवा| लगा वो राजनीती के लिए जन्मा है| चुनाव लड़ने की ठानी|

जिस क्षेत्र से खड़ा हुवा वह के मुख्य सड़क पे बहुत लोग मारे जाते दुर्घटना में, बहुत सारे लोग कर्रेंट लगने से मारे जाते और बहुत सारे लोग बेरोजगारी और कर्ज से तंग आ कर ख़ुदकुशी कर लेते| कारखानों में मजदुर का शोषण होता, व्यापारी उद्यमी लोगो का खून चूसते| पानी की समस्या थी, लोग के घरों में पानी नहीं आता| वादा किया, विजय हुवा तो इलाके में ही नहीं पुरे राज्य में सारी समस्याओं का समाधान करेगा|

लोग जानते थे, मेधावी है, जो कहता है करता है| सो लोगो ने खूब साथ दिया, रिकॉर्ड मत से जीता|

मंत्री बन पथ निर्माण विभाग सँभालने लगा| कानून निकाला कही भी नयी सड़क नहीं बनेगी, किसी सड़क की मरम्मत नहीं होगी| कुछ महीनो में सड़क जर्जर हो गए, वाहनों की गति थम गयी|

लोगो के आँखों में आँशु थे! मडोना ने कर दिखाया| अब कोई अपने प्रियेजन नहीं खोता सड़क दुर्घटना में| जहा जाता जय हो जय हो की गूंज होती|

मुख्य मंत्री ने एक दिन कहा मडोना जी अब बिजली विभाग संभालिये| प्रभार संभाला, हुक्म जारी किया, राज्य में बिजली बंद की जाए|

लोगो के आँखों में आँशु थे! मडोना ने कर दिखाया| अब कोई अपने प्रियेजन नहीं खोता कर्रेंट लगने से|

फिर गृह मंत्रालय संभाला, ऐसा कानून और व्यस्था बनाया कि उद्यमी बाप बाप कर राज्य से भाग गए| उद्योग बंद हो गए|

लोगो के आँखों में आँशु थे! मडोना ने कर दिखाया| अब कोई शोषण नहीं, कोई खून चूसने वाला नहीं|

फिर जल नियोजन संभाला, सारे बांधों को दिन रात खड़े होके तुड़वा डाला|

लोगो के आँखों में आँशु थे! मडोना ने कर दिखाया| अब उनका घर आँगन पानी से भरा रहता था|

अब न सड़क थी, न बिजली, न काम था, और घर-खेत डूबे थे सो लोग पलायन करने लगे|

जो लोग बचे रह गए उनकी आँखों में आँशु थे! मडोना ने कर दिखाया| जब लोग ही नहीं, तो ख़ुदकुशी कौन करता|

Anna and Ramdev.. whats cooking?

Anna's movement is being supported by the suffering common man. Team Anna's decision to join hands with Baba Ramdev raises many questions in my mind. Will this decision make the movement weaker? Are Baba Ramdev's much hyped higly priced range of products any good for comman man? Is misusing and misleading own blind supporters and bringing their life on risk at the Ramleela Maidan in Delhi, expected from a mass leader?. Is the way he tried to flee from there, a sign of great leader? Doesn't Baba have some loose ends which makes him prone to being black-mailed by the government? Though I strongly disagreed to the shameful action taken by govt of India through my post.

In one of my post I raised a question "When the complete infrastructure of democracy is crumbling, what is the guarantee that the Lokpals and Lokpal bill will not meet the same fate? Is it a conspiracy to transfer the power from elected members to a set of non elected members?" Another question here is why the UPA govt will bring a strong anti corruption lokpal bill? Their members are the major beneficiary of the corruption. Why they will axe themselves?

I believe that instead of looking for back door entry, now it is the time that a new national party should be launched by team Anna and honest and educated candidates who have proven themselves in their fields should be given ticket. They should take the message in every corner of India. India will definitely vote for change! Once in power they can reciprocate upon the trust by voters. They can bring the strong Lokpal, Right to recall, Right to Reject and every act necessary for people and for India.

Still I support Anna, Baba or anyone who are up for these movement. I support with a hope that something good will happen which is not expected either from the two largest alliances UPA and NDA or some one else. Hope our children will have a better life and they will not have to suffer they way we are.
