On one cold day in the last winter
I ran towards the train to enter.
Train started quickly like a storm,
in jiffy I dropped gloves on the platform.
Which I could only notice
when I reached the office.

I thought It was gone and
it's time to buy another one.
In the evening while returning
I saw my black gloves hanging,
gently on the corner of a bench
though because of snow' little drenched.

I picked the goves with smile
and thought for a while.
Who picked and put it there?
In this selfish world still so much care?
Since then when I find anything anywhere
I pick and hang it on a safe place near.


On the eve of this thanksgiving day
I humbly thank every one, today.
to whom I know and to the angel strangers
who contributed little or became life changers.
Who cared for me, my family and friends
I offer them love, prayer and garlands!

हरश्रृंगार - प्रकृति का अनुपम उपहार

हरश्रृंगार एक अदभुत फूल है, छोटा सा प्यारा सा! पटल का श्वेत रंग स्वच्छता का प्रतीक, नारंगी डंडी श्रींगार का और मनमोहक भीनी भीनी खुशबु ईश्वर का प्रतीक. हर घर का श्रृंगार, प्रकृति का अनुपम उपहार.

दशहरे के समय याद कर रहा था इस फूल को. इस फूल को पूजा में चढ़ाते थे. जमीन पर गिरा फूल अपवित्र होता है. इसलिए पेड़ के जड़ के पास के जमीन को गोबर से नीपा जाता था. नीपे हुए जमीन पर गिरा फूल अपित्र नहीं माना जाता. फिर सवेरे सवेरे फूल्डाली ले के निकल पड़ते थे फूल लाने. छोटा था तो प्रेम कुमार काकी, बाबा या दाई (दादी) की उंगली पकड़ कर. कुछ बड़ा हुवा तो अकेले ही. सूर्य के उगने से पहले की लालिमा जीवन में रंग भरते. हरे घास पर ओस की बुँदे पांव धो कर स्वागत करते तो घास की जड़ की गीली मिटटी बाटा हवाई चप्पल से आलिंगन और छोटी छोटी चिड़िया प्रभात वंदना. फिर फूल तोड़ता पहले हरश्रृंगार फिर कनैल फिर बेला, गेंदा, दूब, बेलपत्र इत्यादि. फिर सीना तान के लौटता था भरा हुवा फूल्डाली के साथ. बौकी अंगना नीप रही होती थी और उसके हाथ के बाल्टी में पवित्र गोबर का लेप खचाखच भरा हुआ. घर की महिलाये महादेव बना रहे होते और पुरुष दालान पर. बिन्देसर के द्वारा लाया गया नीम का दंतमन को कोलगेट मंजन के साथ रगड़ता. फिर माटी के चूल्हे के ऊपर लोहे की लोहिया में घंटो तक उबला हुआ भैंस का खांटी दूध, स्टील के बड़े से गिलास में, एक चौथाई छाली से भरा हुआ और शक्करयुक्त. बाबा के अंगोछा में गरम गिलास पकड़ के सुरक सुरुक के पीता दूध. फिर कभी कभी साथ में मोध से भरा रोटी का रोल. जैसे ही दाई तुलसी चौरा का परिक्रम पूरा करती और बाबा के बाम ब्रू ख़तम होता दौड़ता प्रसादी के लिए.

फूल तो फूल, पत्ते का भी कम महत्व नहीं है. कितनी बार मियांदी बुखार होता तो दो हफ्ते का देहाती इलाज. नरम पत्तों को मारीच के साथ पीस के पिलाया जाता. बहुत कड़वा पर काम कर जाता. फिर इस पेड़ में छोटे छोटे फल लगते हैं जो खाया नहीं जाता. पर फल को छील अन्दर के गोटी को निकाल कर उसको आँखों के पलक में लगा के काली माई बन जाते. क्या मस्ती भरा खेल था. कभी सोचता हूँ कि दोषी हूँ अपने बच्चों का.. पता नहीं वो ये अनुभव कर पाएंगे नहीं.

चलिए एक गहरी सांस लेते हैं. रविवार ख़तम, कल ऑफिस जाना है.

One day while passing through Madiwala market in Bangalore, sitting inside the Bosch shuttle I saw leaves falling from tree. Below the tree a lady was selling clay pots. Next to that I saw Total supermarket shops with transparent glasses. This inspired me to use these words and compose this song.

मन मिट्टी का घड़ा

ये मन मेरा जैसे
मिट्टी का घड़ा
भंगुर बड़ा

टूटता ही रहे|

चाहा भी अगर

Will Kejriwal Party be any different?

In one of my previous post I welcomed the decision by Team IAC (India Against Corruption) to form a political party.

The bitter experience by every existing political party made me hopeless and pessimist.

Will Kejriwal Party be any different?

What if he also become the same, another name in the list of corrupt Indian politicians?

I have been worried, scared and doubtful.

However I think that if I continue to vote for UPA or NDA or 3rd front, things will hardly change. They will continue to do what they have been doing.

I have made my decision that I will vote for Kejriwal. Corrupt UPA or NDA or 3rd front will hardly change anything. But Kejriwal might do something good for India. The reason behind this faith is Kejriwal's reputed work in the Right To Information and India Against Corruption movements.

Though I still suspect that the history will repeat it self.

Mahatma Gandhi lead us to freedom and a herd of corrupt, selfish and power hungry politicians took over the nation and started ruling for generations with personal agenda alaways over the top of the national agenda. Bapu spent his last days in extreme despair. His soul still might be grieving. Bapu could have gifted this legacy to his children and they could have ruled. But his generations hardly have any influence in the politics of India. Bapu did not think of his own children and that is one of the reasons to call him the Father of the nation.

Decades later, Mr. Jayaprakash Narayan gave us another movement. This gave birth to many powerful leaders of today. But these leaders did not do any different. Jayaprakash Babu spent his last days ailing and desserted. His soul might be still ailing.

I have a feeling that India Against Corruption movement lead by Mr. Kejriwal will be another historical movement. But I afraid that again this movement will bring same result in the long run. But I wish not.

In the great Ocean of
Indian Political home,
Tsunami of movements
will continue to come.

That will wash away all
and change it's dimension,
will raise new hope and trust
and put a new foundation.

Then waves of opportunist
will take over again,
and start leading India
for personal gain.

The history will repeat
in the ways big or small,
India will keep going on with
heroes like Bapu, JP, Kejriwal.
